The different perception of time.

The more I think about all my past experiences now that I am rather distanced from any active participation in my dearest home organization and any other activism forms the more I realize that the main thing I gained is the understanding of the different perceptions of cultures and also individuals towards many very basic things just as towards achieving really pretty high results.

Recently a friend of mine (thank you Artur!) shared a story about the perception of time that really made me think.

It happened in Africa, where the drive for fast results made a tribe of African people pass through long distances very fast. However, after a while the African stopped in the forests and sat down without doing anything. White people realized this with disappointment in the further development of a country with such not effectively oriented people. They asked the Africans, why are they sitting and not doing anything.
The answer of the the Africans was following: " We ran so fast that our souls didn't manage to come along with this speed. Now, before we go on, we have to wait for our souls to catch up with us. "

So sometimes THE RIGHT WAY to do things for you is YOUR WAY TO DO THINGS no matter whether it is seen as effective or rather not so effective - for all of us have our own very personal right way of doing things that leads our actions to correspond with our inner self and create a balance with one's own soul.
